Last weekend my hubby took the kids to visit their grandma and grandpa and I got some uninterrupted quilting time at home! Here's what I worked on: a quilt for Sarah that I am trading her for a crocheted afghan! and a birthday block for my group.
The pattern for Sarah's quilt is Sparkling Gemstones from the book Jelly Roll Quilts. I used a fabric called Twiggy by Sanae. I made the top a few years ago, but it didn't have a home. I had Sarah come over and look through my un-homed quilts to pick one or to have me make a new one, and this is what she chose! So glad to be giving this one away soon. I love the colors in it! I think it needs a great name, but I don't have any ideas.
This block, called Strips and Squares, was made with greens on a black background for Aaliah. Hope she likes it. Finishing at 10 inches, it was a lot of fun to make in a short time. :)
